🏏Lion Cubs Update 🦁
🦁Under 16’s – 6th
After starting the season with 2 wins, Under 16’s broke a run of 4 losses, winning the last game before the Christmas break. With a 9pt gap behind 4th & 5th, the team will need to win all remaining matches if they are to make the four, then rely on other results.
Individually Kye Micallef leads the runs for the club (5th league overall) with Noah Keltie also surpassing 100 for the campaign. Henry Boothman & Brady Cake sit in the 90’s. Angus Murdoch & Brady Cake sit equal 6th in the league in wickets.

🦁Under 14’s – 10th
Under 14’s are still chasing that elusive first victory of the season but some positives signs as the team improves week on week. A big highlight was Miller Whittaker’s 35* off a whopping 141 balls, spending a heap of time resisting a strong Boolarra attack. Coming together after 24 overs, Miller & Jake Romyn (7* off 41) kept the Panthers out for 16 overs to bat out the 40.
A day to look forward to will be the double header of T20’s at Racecourse on Sunday 1st February. Would be great to see a lot of club support at this one.

🦁Under 12’s – 4th
The Under 12’s started November with back to back wins before an abandonment against Centrals (2nd). Losses to 1st & 3rd before the end of the month sees them sitting 4th as the ‘best of the rest’ behind the top 3. Ex-Students’ second team & Morwell sit 3pts behind Moe, so if all 3 beat opposition outside the 4 in Rd 9 & 10, it will come down to the final round for 4th with all 3 having the chance to finish 4th, Moe with the advantage to claim it with a win (Ex-Students second team v Centrals, Morwell v Moe). Individual stats shared around with Dylan Grose, Callum Robinson & Parker Shellcot separated by 6 runs batting and 6 bowlers with 3 wickets.

🦁Under 10’s – No Ladder/Finals
Fixtures past & future noted here. U10’s coaches will provide me with results and any noteworthy internally tracked stats/commentary in the coming days to update this post. U10’s aren’t required to post on playhq as no individual league stats
After the first one was postponed due to extreme heat policy for juniors, we have 2 battle of the cub’s to play out in the new year with the date to be confirmed for the postponed fixture. Likely a Thursday night at Burrage as originally attended.
