A GRADE DEBUT: Ben McCartney
On Sunday 7th vs CATS, Ben McCartney became our second debutant for the season.
A well earned debut, with 8 B-Grade wickets in a heavily rain-affected season so far, including 4/22 vs Boolarra. Not just the potential with the ball, but with fielding importance, he’s proven a safe pair of hands especially in the deep with 6 catches to date including 4 in a game against Toongabbie in November.
Spoiler alert for the upcoming match review – Ben got the taste of an A Grade win on debut and was superb for us in the field. More chances in the 1st XI lie in Ben’s future, that’s for sure!
