U16s have started strongly with two wins from three matches. Noah Keltie’s 60* retired in Round 2 was the highlight of the month with the bat. Noah is unbeaten with another 31* retired in Round 1 and Round 3 may have gone the other way if he was available. Kye has 2 retired 30’s in T20’s and Henry also retired unbeaten on 31* in Round 1. With the ball, Angus Murdoch took an unbelievable 5/3 from 4 overs. Brilliant effort. Henry Boothman has 4 wickets from the first two rounds.
Under 14’s haven’t had good luck to start. A bye in Round 1 and washout in Round 2. Round 3 Day 1 took place tonight with Raiders posting 230 from 20 overs. Oliver Hill took both of Moe’s 2 wickets. Jake Romyn is unbeaten on 25* in Moe’s 4/41 at stumps.
Under 12’s were washed out in Round 1 before getting the chocolates in Round 2. Parker Shellcot took 2 wickets and top scored with 9 runs. Dylan Grose made 7 and took 1 wicket. Callum Robinson made 6 & Kaleb Grose & Sophie Howard also picked up wickets.
Under 10’s Blues split their two results to date. Lily Howard featured high in the batting in both nights. Nivaan Sachdeva took wickets both nights.
Under 10’s Maroons had round 1 postponed due to Mirboo North’s school camp and corresponding unavailability. Match has been rescheduled for Melbourne Cup daytime. Round 2 the team went well in defeat against Churchill. See coach Andrew’s comments on post below.
