Moe got off to a strong start after being sent in, 25 off the first 6 overs without loss. Benn Zomer (36) & Mat Hibbs (26) added 54 before the Lions had a collapse of 6/9 (inc 5/2) with both of the set batters dismissed along with 3 ducks to be 9/129. Ben McCartney (9) & Rob Blunt (12*) added 24 for the last stand to give the hosts something to defend. Higham & Ayres both took 3 wickets for the Cobras, with Whelpdale also snagging two. Moe had 3 batters get solid starts but unlike the prior week, none went on to make a big score.
Churchill’s innings started slow but crucially kept their wickets in hand, thanks to some dropped chances in the field. Ceeney (25), Kearns (18) & M.Harvey (21) pushed the Cobras to 1/75 before two quick wickets fell. Ayres (26), Keighran (20*) & R.Harvey (15*) saw the visitors home by 5 wickets with 7 balls to spare.
