Premier A Grade – v Centrals
Centrals have been relegated in all grades, so unfortunately there’ll be no ‘battle of the prides’ next campaign (unless drawn in T20 Comp against each other) but had the opportunity to hurt Moe’s finals chances this year. They did just that, winning by 96 runs on first innings. Moe attempted to reverse outright and in 25 overs, had Centrals 7/35 (a lead of 131). The following 20 overs saw Centrals resistance through to 8/65, a lead of 161 and match called with little time to go. Royce Colgrave took 6/16 in the second innings to take 10 wickets for the match. Great effort Roycey!
Moe now must been Toongabbie in the final round to overtake the loser of Glengarry & Imperials and rely on Churchill to lose to Morwell.
Premier B Grade
A mixed fortnight for B’s. A strong win over Churchill with Michael Johnstone (102*) & Troy Oakley (34) setting up the win. Then Toongabbie’s 3/230 was far too big of a mountain to climb last week, which ultimately ended B’s finals chances
Premier C Grade
C Grade march towards finals with a strong win over Glengarry and a solid win over finals contenders Morwell. Noah Keltie has made back to back 40’s with Shannon Murphy & Randy Straughair making a half century each. Craig Veenman took 6 wickets across the fortnight.
