CATS v Moe 
(Day 2)
Following a strong day 1 from Moe, CATS resumed at 0/28 in their 2nd innings, trailing by 162.
In just the 3rd & 4th overs of the day, Clint Taylor & Keenan Hughes claimed the first two of the ten wickets required, Cochrane for 16 & Moore first ball. The 9th over of play saw Taylor claim the scalps of both Palmer (20) & Porigneaux (12) to bring two fresh bats to the crease at 4/55. Wickets fell periodically with another four batters getting to double figures, but all dismissed before getting properly set (Hagley top scoring with 25 with Panyangara 22 and Harrup 20 each reaching twenty). Keenan Hughes returned for a second spell in the 54th over, dismissing Cooper (13) with his first ball back to claim his fourth wicket of the inning and 10th for the match.
Hughes is the first Lion to get 10 in a match since Jayden Mathison in March 2015. He also becomes the first Moe player to ever take 10 in a match and hit a century in the same game. Unbelievable Keenan! 
35.1 overs was all that was required for the match completion on Day 2 with CATS all out for 148, Moe winning by an innings & 42 runs. Laytten Smith & Rob Phoenix took one wicket each in the second innings. Taylor is finding John Black Reserve a happy hunting ground, claiming 4/39 on Saturday, after taking 6 wickets in the one dayer last season at the venue.
A big 10 points for Moe, but elsewhere the fourth placed Centrals, turned a 1st innings deficit against Raiders into a reverse outright to claim 6pts of their own. Moe are at home for the remainder of the home & away season, against Morwell (3rd) & Ex-Students (2nd), needing results likely from both matches now and then relying on Centrals’ to drop points to either Toongabbie (6th) or now currently relegation placed CATS (8th).
