Premier A:
Stockdale’s unbeaten 153* propelled Ex Students to 9 for 253 (C.Grant 3/70, C.Taylor 2/33) with the declaration coming late in the day. Moe had to face a tense 10 minutes in which skipper Noah Kane (2) was dismissed. Tomorrow, Jesse Pheeney (0*) and Callum Grant (0*) resume the chase.
Premier B:
Boolarra have taken a step back from A Grade cricket this year but still had a few players with plenty of A’s experience in their lineup (McCormack, Duffy, Urbanic, Brierley). Moe bowled well and had them all out for 113. Smith 44 top scored whilst McCormack 32 and Duffy 14 saw off the new ball. McCartney picking up 4 wickets and Daniel Farmer 3fa. Moe’s batting lineup lacked depth and it was all over quite quickly via Urbanic & Gregor, out for 34. Travel again to the first meeting against Toongabbie tomorrow.
Premier C:
Unfortunately played with 10 which sometimes happens in the lower grade. That extra player could have potentially made the difference as there 9 out all out total from 38 overs was chased down, also in 38 overs. De Vent (34) top scored for the Lions whilst Sheekey snagged 3 wickets. Kee took 5 wickets for Ex Students before Thomson 66 & Potalej 41* won the game with the bat. Away again to Traralgon West tomorrow.
