U16s report by Coach Ash Savige
Our under 16’s traveled to Callignee to take on the CATS in our first 20/20 match of the season. Moe bowled first and after 11 overs Moe were on top having the cats at 4/40 Jordan Shields got the team going with the first wicket (1/17). Aiden Savige bowled well and just missed out on getting a hatrick (2/25). In his first game for Moe Darcy Walsh took his first wicket for the club and finished with 1 for 6 off 3 overs. At the end of the 20 overs CATS finished on 115 with the middle order getting some easy late runs.
Moe were solid with the bat early Max Moroney (8) and Brodan Blandford (24) both batted well, Keller Holmes (27) hit 6 4s after being sent in to accelerate the run rate, he certainly did that in very exciting fashion.
Moe ended up finishing on 4/83 in what was another good performance that shows signs of good things to come.
