After a decent summer break it was great to see the U12’s back into it at South St oval.
Taking on second placed Latrobe the Lions had a real challenge on their hands.
Bowling first, Moe kicked off with some tidy bowling. Sending down very few wides, the improvement across the whole lineup was noticeable.
Latrobe’s impressive batting lineup found the boundaries often posting a decent total of 143.
Congratulations to Tatum Young taking 2 scalps for the innings.
Moe’s run chase kicked off a little shaky with wickets falling in fairly quick succession.
Blake Savige top scoring with 13 proved the highlight of the innings.
Moe batted out the 20 overs finishing on 58.
The biggest positive for the night was seeing two debutants make their first runs and enjoy their first game of cricket.
